Disaster Recovery Access Line: Tropical Cyclone Alfred

The GCCLC has a dedicated phone line to assist Gold Coast residents in gaining access to our free services with questions and queries relating to ex-tropical cyclone Alfred.

    The impact of this weather event on the Gold Coast is far-stretched including:

  • Property damage from fallen trees, water damage and flooding;
  • Neighbour disputes around damage to dividing fences and trees;
  • Employment law issues due to businesses closing during the weather event;
  • Debt matters due to possible inability to make repayments if employment was impacted;
  • Family law issues if parenting arrangements were impacted due to the cyclone;
  • Court matters due to Court closures and matters administratively adjourned, what does that mean;
  • Plus much more

The GCCLC Disaster Recovery Access Line enables Gold Coast residents to streamline their access to the Centre with systems in place to provide fast-tracked assistance, whether that be information, referrals, legal advice or social work support.

We have access to free interpretation services if you are struggling to understand your situation and English is not your first language.

We can assist via face to face, phone or video services, which also assist residents who may still be impacted by power and internet issues at their home.

Please call or email us and we can try and find a way to best assist you
