If in doubt about whether we can assist you with your matter, please call us on 07 5532 9611 and reception will advise you whether our Solicitors can assist or we may refer you to another organisation.
Our Solicitors cannot sign certificates of independent legal advice, certificates for guarantors for loans and advanced health directives.
If we cannot provide you with advice on a particular matter, we will make an effort to provide you with an appropriate referral to another service.
Prior to making an appointment by phone or using our online contact form, please have the following information available:
Please note that we cannot make an appointment without this information.
If you require an interpreter or have other special circumstances that would affect our ability to give you legal advice, please inform reception when making the appointment. Our volunteers can tell the Solicitor what you require to access our services and we may make certain arrangements to ensure you can receive legal advice.
All residents of the Gold Coast region are able to seek legal advice and assistance from the Centre. We do not have a merits test or a financial means test.
We will require you to provide the full name of the other party or the company that is involved with the dispute when you book your appointment. Sometimes we may not be able to give you advice because of a conflict of interest.
There may also be times when we are fully booked, there is an unavailability of solicitors in certain outreach locations or we may otherwise be unable to assist with your legal matter. In those circumstances, we will provide you with alternate referral links to seek legal advice or request that you call back.
