  • PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AND ACKNOWLEDGE AT THE END:

By ticking the box below, you agree to the following terms of our advice service:

    1. You are hereby notified that a copy of our Client Information brochure is available on our website.

    2. The Centre will provide legal advice to you on the basis of the information that you give to Centre’s solicitors. The Centre’s ability to give useful legal advice/assistance depends on you giving the Centre’s solicitors accurate and specific information about your issues and all relevant documents.

    3. The Centre will provide you with legal advice about your matter, but the responsibility for progressing your legal matter remains with you, the Centre will not act for you as your lawyer in relation to your matter. You realise that there is no legal retainer between you and the Centre and that it does not represent you as solicitors and that any professional relationship is terminated upon the conclusion of the consultation.

    4. The Centre provides this legal advice service as a limited service. The Centre may refuse or limit the extent of further advice given to you after the initial advice session. The extent of service that the Centre provides you will depend on the complexity of your matter, the level of demand on the Centre by other people for legal services, and your level of social disadvantage.

    5. The Centre is required by law to keep all your information strictly confidential, unless you authorize the Centre to reveal it, or the solicitor is permitted or compelled by law to disclose the information such as for the purpose of avoiding the probable commission of a serious criminal offence or preventing imminent serious physical harm to you or to another person.

    6. The Centre will keep your file & documents in secure storage for 7 years after giving you legal advice/assistance. You give permission to the Centre to destroy your file & documents after 7 years

    7. Please be aware that our Southport office is a dog-friendly environment for our staff and there may be times when there are pets in the office on any given day. If you are attending the Southport office and have any concerns about this please speak to reception so we can minimise any risk, stress or impact on you when you attend.

  • NOTE: Case studies are a summary of a matter where the Centre assisted in achieving a successful outcome. Case studies do not contain any identifying facts or particulars about you - they provide a summary of the legal issue and how the Centre assisted. If you would like more information about what a case study is, please discuss with our reception or the solicitor.
